DiSalvo Contracting was founded in 1977 by Italian-trained artisan Vincent DiSalvo Sr. and his wife Catherine. Rooted in Vincent’s old-world craftsmanship, the company quickly built a loyal following through its mastery of elaborate ornamental plaster restoration and custom installations across New York City throughout the 1960s, 70s, and early 80s.

In 1984, Vincent retired, passing leadership to his sons Joseph and Vincent Jr who expanded the firm into a full-service client-oriented general contracting and construction management firm. Since the 1980s, the firm has specialized in full-scale renovations and construction of high end residences in the New York City area, combining rigorous project management with the expertise of skilled and experienced craftsmen. For more than a decade DiSalvo also operated a second location in Oyster Bay, New York serving our discerning clients along Long Island’s North Shore.

Over the decades, DiSalvo has collaborated with leading architects and designers from around the world to create hundreds of bespoke residences, each home thoughtfully crafted to reflect the individuality of its owners. Joseph and Vincent have long believed that the true measure of success lies not only in the finished product, but also in the measure of the client experience throughout the entire building process. From initial engagement through project completion and punch listing, the commitment to delivering a seamless, transparent, and efficient process drives each project from start to finish. The firm is now employee owned which further ensures that each associate has a personal interest in the company’s continued success and a shared investment in its future.

Now in its sixth decade of service to New York City, DiSalvo Contracting continues to build beautiful homes as well as its reputation and legacy into the future
